Arboretum Grounds Tours
Public and private outdoor tours of the Arboretum grounds in the Spring, Summer and Fall are available (weather permitting). For private grounds tours (i.e. – Boy Scout Troops etc.), advanced notice for requests is necessary and the fee is $25.00 per group. Grounds tours are often modified to the interests of the group (Scout badges, horticultural groups, teachers, etc.)
We also have public grounds tours periodically throughout the year (see the calendar for dates and times) Public grounds tours are free but advanced registration is required and space is limited. Call the office at for more information.
Tours of the Manor House are scheduled seasonally and provide a guided look at the major living spaces of the Manor House, both upstairs and down. All house tours are $10.00 per person (cash or check only – all checks should be made out to “Natural Heritage Trust” or “NHT”.)
Public House Tours are scheduled in advance to a limited number of people on a first come, first serve basis. Generally we have tours scheduled for the “Holiday Season” when the house is fully decorated, and the “Spring Season” before it gets too hot to spend time upstairs.
Private House Tours can be scheduled at any time upon advanced request for groups of ten or more people. Private Tours are often made in conjunction with a reservation for a Victorian Tea at the Hidden Oak Cafe, which can be reached by calling (631) 277-3895. If you would like to schedule a tour, please call the Arboretum Office at (631) 581-1002.
