Rules/Fees

The arboretum is a passive park and activities such as biking, picnicking, sports, bathing and games are not permitted.

The arboretum is open Tuesday through Sunday (plus Monday holidays from April - October) from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. DST, 10 A.M. - 4 P.M. EST
Historical house tours of the Cutting family Manor House are now available for a minimum donation of $5.00 per person. Groups are limited in size so advance registration is suggested. Most tours are on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. but there are others scheduled during the holiday season which include weekdays. Call for a complete schedule of dates and times.
A vehicle-parking fee of $6.00 per car is charged from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A $35.00 parking fee is charged for not- for- profit buses and a $75.00 fee for commercial buses. Entry gates close promptly at closing, i.e. 4 PM EST or 5 PM DST.  Visitors in the park prior to those times may remain until 5:30 EST or 6:30 DST. Fee collection is begun the first Saturday in April and continues through to Labor Day. After Labor Day a fee is charged on weekends and holidays ONLY through to the last weekend in October. There are no fees throughout the winter.

Advance reservations and a permit are required to take wedding or similar type photos at Bayard Cutting Arboretum. The permit must be obtained prior to the day of the event. The fee is $50.00 plus vehicle entry fees. No parties without permits will be allowed to enter the park. Call the park at 631 581 1002 for more information.

As one of the many New York State Parks, the Bayard Cutting Arboretum honors the Empire Passport, the NY Access Pass and the Golden Park Program. The Empire Passport is a purchased vehicle pass that enables the vehicle to enter all NY State parks from April 1st to March 31st of the following year. The Access Pass must be obtained from New York State and enables eligible handicapped or physically challenged individuals free entry to the parks. The Golden Park program is a senior program for all New York State residents 62 years of age or older. One must present their New York State driver's license or non-driver's license at the fee collection station. This is honored on weekdays ONLY.
