THE HIDDEN OAK CAFÉ (Tel 631 277 3895) is open Tuesday – Sunday (some Monday holidays) and serves from 11:00 a.m. until 4:30 pm during daylight savings time and 3:30 pm during standard time. The menu consists of sandwiches such as smoked salmon, roast beef, tuna, chicken salad, turkey, ham, egg salad, grilled cheese, B.L.T., etc. all served on a variety of breads, rolls or wraps. We also serve salads, quiche du jour, soup du jour, a variety of desserts and beverages. Unique to the café is the VICTORIAN TEA. The setting overlooking the great lawn and the Connetquot River is relaxing and does tend to bring you back in time to a different era. Reservations are currently required for tea which is available for individuals or groups. The Tea consists of scones, finger sandwiches, desserts and a large selection of brewed tea to choose from. When you are planning your next visit to the Arboretum plan on having lunch in the café. If you are planning a small catered event, we would be happy to accommodate you.
